Code of honour: Be a Knight in the techno-world [Part 10 of our Dream Team series; 2 minutes read]

knightAt Crewit we have 10 simple rules that guide us through difficult moments. We call them The Code of Honour and we read them whenever we have any doubts. We feel then like a knight with a shinny armor riding through a dark forest (moments of doubts). At least that’s what we like to think:) It’s good to have rules. They give you the space to be flexible and creative. Have a look at our Codex below and see if something similar could be useful in your professional life. Enjoy!

  1. WORK WITH VISION AND PASSION

Now when you know more about life and your job, work with passion and be one step ahead. Find courage to be open minded and to flood your team with ideas. Don’t be afraid of changes and challenges, they will help you grow as a person. Have a goal you work towards.

  1. EVERYONE SELLS

There are many of our team members involved in relationship with our customers by providing services, advice or feedback. Keeping this in mind, everyone sells. You sell yourself, Canduco, our vision & our services, but most of all your ideas, your work and results of your work.

  1. TEAMWORK

Remember that you are member of a team, Crewit’s team. We are here to help and support each other. If you need help – ask. If you see your colleagues struggle – offer them your help. If you see something not done, do it! Take initiative and think “team”!

  1. EVERYONE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FINAL RESULT

Every team member has influence on the final result. If one element is not working, the whole process is at risk. Average performance means “business death”. Don’t blame circumstances, be responsible for your desk, members of your team, processes and the final result. Make it work for yourself and your colleagues.

  1. CELEBRATE SUCCESSES

Be happy with positive results and reached targets. Celebrate successes starting with the smallest ones as they are steps on way to your goal. Remember that sometimes you win, sometimes you learn; don’t be afraid of making mistakes.

  1. EDUCATE YOURSELF AND FIND YOUR TALENT

Educate yourself to become an expert in your industry. Focus on your strengths and endeavour your talent. Read books, magazines, newspapers. Listen to motivation audios and people around you. Become networking animal. Learn, gather knowledge and use it in your everyday life by actively taking one new action every day.

  1. BE FOCUSED

Lack of focus has very bad influence on the team productivity. Be focused on your tasks and remember that time at work is the time we work. Learn how to prioritise tasks to work smarter, not harder. Do things within a time frame you’ve dedicated to that task, not longer. Respect your time and the time of other team members.

  1. TAKE CARE OF INTEGRITY

Be on time and finish what you’ve started. Be on time at work, in team or customers’ meetings, in your project. Respect yourself and others and keep your word.

  1. CUSTOMER SERVICE

Build strong relationships with our customers, employers and job seekers. Treat them with respect and do whatever it takes to support their needs.

  1. YOU’RE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CODE OF HONOUR

You have to demand from yourself and other team members, as well as from your supervisors and MD, that they respect the Code of Honour and work following its rules. If you will accept breaking of above rules, you won’t learn and grow as a person and your organisation won’t grow either.
